Every year around this time I get together with my favourite group of bloggers and we get the chance to partner with one of our favourite coat brands! It’s always such a fun day shooting with these amazing ladies and I love seeing the different looks that everyone pulls together.
Normally each year we feature the Noize parkas, however this year they launched a fall line! I love supporting a brand that is Canadian, vegan and cruelty-free. Also, the coats are really warm and cozy. I’ve been wearing this pink coat non-stop since it arrived. I love the muted pink shade and the oversize style so that I can fit all of my chunky knits underneath. Noize also sells accessories and this little crossbody bag is really cute.
Some of the girls are sporting the vegan leather jackets and Michelle is wearing my same style of coat, but in a black and white pattern. I had a hard time choosing between these two coats because I am a sucker for black and white patterns. Zeba and I both chose the same pink coats and were twinning the whole day 🙂 We both styled them completely differently, which wasn’t planned at all.
You can check out my pink jacket HERE. Use code “Noizecrew” for 15% off!
Also, stay tuned because Noize has some new parkas this year and I’ll be styling one soon. Hint: they have PINK parkas this year! Eeeee!!!
I’m incredibly excited to be sharing my family room makeover today in partnership with California Closets, Polka Dot Home Staging and Shic Pic Photography. I love getting to work with talented people across so many different industries and learning from the best. Home decor is something I really love. I know what I like when I see it in photos, but making it happen is a different story. This is when the experts come in really handy!
We said we weren’t going to move the same year we were getting married, but alas life never really works out how you plan it. We found a house we couldn’t pass up and the rest as they say, is history. I’m super excited about our house and cannot wait to decorate it, but it’s definitely going to take alot of time! We were so focused on the wedding and the honeymoon that we haven’t done much with the house yet.
I’m loving the new house, but I knew I was going to miss two things from our old place: the rooftop patio with our fire bowl (nights roasting marshmallows on the rooftop were always my favourite) and the beautiful wall unit that California Closets built us around our TV. We had them install full shelving and cabinets all around the TV and it was the best decision we made. It gave us extra storage and looked amazing decorated with books and vases. I also loved hanging wreaths on it at Christmas!
When we first moved into our new house, we got the major items for the family room first. TV, couch, coffee table – the basics. This is where we spend alot of our time cuddling up to watch Netflix after a long day at work and where we entertain our friends. I couldn’t find any TV stands that I liked (I find most of them to be cheap or ugly looking and the nice ones are insanely expensive). We then got the idea to have California Closets come in and do another unit for us. Instead of doing full shelving and cabinets, this time we opted for a sleek cabinet under the TV so that it didn’t overwhelm the room. I LOVE how it turned out!
I wanted to show you guys the amazing transformation of the room, but I am not at a point where I could decorate the entire room yet. This is when I got the idea to partner up with a staging company that would help put the finishing touches on the room so I could put together this post, since I know it’s going to be a while until I fully decorate my place.  Polka Dot Home Staging did such an amazing job! If you are ever in need of some home staging they are an excellent resource. And if you are ever on the hunt for wall displays or built-in closets (or basically any type of organization unit), I highly recommend California Closets. We have worked with them twice now and both times were amazing. They make the process super easy and their pricing is reasonable (especially for the quality!). They work with you on the design and bring inspiration photos to life. The install is so quick (both of ours just took a few short hours).
Hope you enjoy the final look!
Me and Susan from Polka Dot Staging! They wear polka dot shirts when they come to your house. How adorable is that?

Was there any greater feeling as a child than getting your back to school clothes and starting a fresh new school year? Sure, it was always sad when summer came to an end but you always had wearing your new clothes and seeing your school friends to look forward to. I’ll admit, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in school, but that desire to get new clothes at the beginning of September never really leaves you.
Fall is such an amazing season and fall fashion is the best! We need something to excite us when the weather starts to get chilly and the days get shorter. We know winter isn’t far behind and so we turn to simple pleasures like a beautiful new coat, scarves, boots and the coziest ponchos/wraps to get us through.
I wanted the shower to be fun and beautiful, with pops of pink throughout. I also wanted to add in some personal touches. That’s what made me come up with the “Pin The Kiss on the 90’s Heartthrob” game. I use to have all of these posters hanging in my room when I was a teenager. This game was so nostalgic and a huge hit! I have a video of my 91 year old Granny pinning kisses on the 90’s crushes that I will cherish forever. The music was a mix of 90’s pop hits and girly old school classics like The Supremes. One of my bridesmaids actually made my shower cake! I can’t believe how amazing it turned out. She doesn’t even do this for a living and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. What’s a shower without some bubbly and sweets? I loved the combination of the Mimosa Bar and Candy Bar together. The DIY Mimosa Bar was definitely a highlight for me.Â
Flower Maiden created stunning floral arrangements in glossy bags for the centerpieces, which we attached to the balloons to help weigh them down. Cecile Lau Calligraphy worked her magic on the signage. She always amazes me with how she can make my crazy ideas come to life – exactly how I dreamed them in my mind. She really does the most beautiful work. AG Macarons put together a macaron tower and also created little “Thank You” gift boxes for each place setting. The guests loved it! The delicious candies were provided by Squish Candies. I love their selection of bridal-themed candy – the Prosecco Gummy Bears are my personal favourite.
CB2 provided this beautiful acrylic easel. If you’ve ever tried to find a pretty easel then you will know how difficult it is. Most are black or wood and just wouldn’t have fit with my theme. This clear one is perfect!

My Mom and sister planned some really fun games, including this one below where guests have to guess which kitchen item is in the bag that matches the letter of my new last name. We also played this at my bachelorette party, but instead of kitchen items it was items from the stag shop 🙂
O.P.I. provided adorable pink nail polishes for each guest to take home, which my Mom and I covered in tulle and attached a bow with a pink glitter heart.Â
I loved this “Who got the groom” game. There’s a link to the print out and instructions at the bottom of this post. My Groomie definitely fit right in with all of the heartthrobs 😉
I picked the Disney Love Songs game because I’ve always been a fan of Disney movies. Everyone really liked this one. It was surprisingly quite challenging!
Special thanks to my amazing bridesmaids (minus 1 of my bridesmaids who lives in Costa Rica and couldn’t make it to the shower), and my mom who helped me plan this incredible day! It was seriously a dream. We had a blast planning it all and putting together all of the special details.Â

Sugargirlee & Co created the most amazing pink balloon garland to hang above the sweets table and mimosa bar. They also did oversized balloons with special wording on them for the centrepieces. You can pick any wording you’d like!

My amazing friend Nina from Shic Pic Photography shot all of these photos. She is so incredibly talented. I’ve featured some of her work on my blog before. She can do it all – weddings, engagements, babies/family, events, etc. etc. She also shot the video at the end of this post, just super quickly at the event between taking photos and it turned out so good! She’s seriously a jack of all trades. If you ever need photography for any reason, you must contact her!
My incredibly handsome Groomie 🙂

My cute as a button niece and flower girl. I can’t handle how adorable she is. These curls in her hair are all natural. Just love her to pieces. I bought her this pink dress almost a year ago, so I was super happy that it still fit her! haha She’s growing like a weed! She is still talking about “Auntie’s shower” months later. She’s never been to a wedding, so I can’t wait to see her reaction to that!Â
I kicked off all of my planning with the most perfect invites from Minted. If you’ve never experienced buying something from Minted, you must. Their attention to detail and incredible customer service is unlike anything else I’ve experience. Everything from the packaging, to the contents inside the box, to the items I picked out were perfection. No matter your theme or occasion, they have the perfect invite for it. Seriously. The selection is insane. When I first saw these pink wedding dress invites with rose gold foil my jaw dropped. They were even more beautiful in person. Even the envelopes were stunning!

As I look back on the photos and video I love how everything turned out! It’s a day I will truly cherish forever. The perfect day spent sipping bubbly surrounded by all of the ladies who mean the most to me in this world. What could be better than that?
