I’ve been to Prince Edward County a few times now and every time I’ve had such an amazing time! I’m now trying to make it a yearly trip. I wanted to put together a bit of a travel diary in case any of you plan on going for the first time – It’s always nice to have some recommendations! I highly recommend this as an amazing place for a girls weekend getaway – or for anyone that loves wine. Will give you the details of our trip below and all of the places you MUST check out if you are in PEC. Happy Travels!

We left Friday from Toronto around 1:00pm. I recommend leaving before 5pm if you can to avoid the crazy traffic! Our first stop was Drake Devonshire. We walked around the little town/shops near the Drake and went across to the new Drake Motor Inn, which is super cute. There’s also a brewery right beside the Motor Inn if you want to pop in for a drink before dinner. We then had dinner at Drake Devonshire and spent the evening having cocktails on the beautiful patio on the water. They have hanging lights and give you big cozy blankets to keep you warm when the sun goes down – it’s perfection! Also, the cocktails are DELICIOUS. Definitely make dinner reservations far in advance though because it books up quickly on weekends throughout the summer. They also have a great brunch!

You have to see the straps on this pink dress that I’m wearing in the above pics. It’s the cutest! I’m wearing a size S/M.

On Saturday, we woke up and went to Vic Cafe in Picton for breakfast. This is my favourite breakfast in PEC. They had my heart at tater tots! They also moved and newly renovated – it is all kinds of Insta-worthy now. You will want to take photos of everything from the booths to the ceiling to the adorable wallpaper and even the bathrooms! They have adorable with PINK TOILETS!! I have major toilet envy, which I didn’t know was a thing. Where can I find these vintage-looking toilets? Seriously.

After breakfast, we drove to Closson Road Cycles to pick up our bikes. Be sure to rent your bikes in advance. The family that owns Closson Road Cycles is so incredibly lovely! You will be in good hands. I never really get a chance to ride bikes with living in Toronto – I find it way too scary, so I really enjoy riding bikes to all of the wineries. It’s my favourite part of the whole trip. It was lilac season when we were there and the amount of lilacs and the delicious perfumed smells coming from the massive bunches of lilac trees was seriously incredible.

Closson Road is perfect for biking because it’s a very short trip between each winery and there’s about 5-7 wineries close by to pop into. There’s also the alpaca farm which is the CUTEST and the lavender field. I have an obsession with lavender so I love popping in here.

This ADORABLE polka-dot tank is linked HERE (I’m wearing a size S) and it’s only $6! Use code 3pinkthe10 for extra 10% off purchases over $80!

Definitely stop by The Grange winery for a picnic out back. They pack you a little picnic basket fill of wine, cheese, pickles, bread and popcorn. It’s another one of the highlights for me – they have picnic tables out back amongst all of the chickens running around which are quite entertaining.

I would then recommend either Norman Hardie or County Cider Company for wood fire pizza. County Cider has Gluten Free pizza for all of my fellow Celiacs 🙂

There’s a small group of great hotels in PEC and so many amazing Air BNB’s. We stayed in a cottage on the water this time and it was so lovely. We had fires every night and took advantage of the DVD player with so many old movies to watch at night. It was perfection.

Sunday morning we ate breakfast the Picton Harbour Inn and walked around to the shops a bit and down by the water.

This white dress is so cute and serious nautical vibes. Linked HERE. I love it. I’m wearing a size M – it’s a little snug around the top, I could prob have done a L.

And of course, no trip to PEC is complete without a trip to the June Motel! Whether you stay there or just pop in for some Rosé, it’s a must!

This dress has quickly become one of the most favourite dress I have ever worn. It’s so flattering and the details of the bow straps with the tassels is so stinkin’ cute. Also, the colours are amazing. I am so in love! Dress linked HERE. I’m wearing a size M.

I also can’t say enough about this new straw bag from Poppy & Peonies. Perfect for carrying around in the summer or using as a beach bag! It’s seriously perfection. The inside liner is pink and the pink tassel on the front is so pretty.

Have to share this little Dalmatian print dress. I’ve been searching for a Dalmatian print dress or top for so long now and finally got this one! I love it so much, especially with a cute little jean jacket thrown over it. It works for so many occasions, dressed up or dressed down. Link to dress HERE. I’m wearing a size M. Use code 3pinkthe10 for extra 10% off purchases over $80! This little hot pink bag is Poppy & Peonies. Similar bag HERE.

Other places to visit in the County, not pictured above:

Sand Banks Beach – There’s actually a nice, big beach in PEC at Sand Banks National Post and if the weather it’s nice it’s definitely worth a visit!

Lake on the Mountain – A really pretty view to stop for lunch

Sailing – there are some boat companies in PEC that will take you out sailing. It’s so beautiful on the water there, I highly recommend if you like to be out on the water!
