Winter Drinks

I wish I could put into words how delicious these drinks are. You’ll just have to try them for yourself! Criollo Liqueur is one of my favourite new must-have items for holiday entertaining. The bottles are really cute to display and the variety of drinks you can make is amazing. I’m no bartender, so you can take my word for it when I say these are the easiest drinks to make.

I created this recipe below because I’m a fan of liqueur mixed with milk on ice. Plus, adding candy canes makes everything instantly better.

Recipe:

– Fill a cup halfway with ice cubes

– Add one shot of Criollo in Bourbon Dark Chocolate or Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel

– Top up glass with milk

– Finish with whip cream and crushed candy canes

You could also add Criollo to coffee, hot chocolate or enjoy on the rocks. Or, create your own signature drink. Let me know what you end up doing with it. I’d love to hear your recipe ideas.

Cheers!

Wine & Cheese Pairing

There’s just something about wine, cheese and charcuterie boards that make me insanely happy. If charcuterie and cheese are on a restaurant menu I HAVE to order it. I’ve also started creating my own at home and I like finding the perfect wine to pair with the selection of meats and cheeses. I’m far from a wine connoisseur, but I know a good wine when I taste one and the below pairings are a must try. I’ve put together two combinations of food pairings to go with the Enigma Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Check out my food pairing recommendations below!

The Cabernet Sauvignon includes flavours of blackberry and black cherry with hints of brown spice, vanilla and espresso, which pairs well with cranberry based cheeses, berries and purple grapes. It also goes really well with bold meat dishes, sharp cheddar cheese and of course a nice steak.

The Chardonnay features rich flavours of baked apple and pear, with hints of toasted oak, caramel and brown spice. It pairs well with apples, green grapes and almonds. It also pairs beautifully with seafood or chicken.

Early Shopping Holiday Gift Guide

Although I like the idea of being an early holiday shopper, it rarely happens. I tend to over think it and then end up leaving everything to the last minute. This year, I plan to use the below guide to help with some of my gift giving and get an earlier start. I love the adorable limited edition holiday sets that come out around this time of the year. Everything is a little more glittery, shiny and pretty. Plus, I’ve got the new Mindy Kaling and Drew Barrymore books on my must read list and the new Kate Spade book is going to be a new staple on my coffee table.

Let me know if any of the below items are on your wish list or gifting list! Happy (early) holidays!
