Valentine’s Day Brunch

It’s no secret that I love Valentine’s Day. Any holiday that is all about pink and love and chocolate and flowers, has my heart.  I love the idea of hosting a Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day brunch for your girlfriends, family, group of couples or just for you and your man.  Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, brunch is the perfect way to celebrate.

I’ve collaborated with the adorable Kaylee from The Blondielocks blog on this Pretty in Pink Valentine’s Day Brunch below. We had so much fun putting this together (and eating all the treats afterwards). I’ve been looking for any excuse to style my new rustic wood dining table.  I just moved into a new house and out of everything we bought for the new house, this table is my fav purchase.

Thanks to AG Macarons for the DELICIOUS macarons. If you haven’t stopped by AG Macarons’ 2 Toronto locations you must before VDay! The window displays are so amazing and these macarons with the little hearts on top are so adorable.  And thanks to Olivia from Flower Maiden for the beautiful floral arrangements she put together! Flowers always make everything better.

I hope this inspires whatever plans you have for this Valentine’s Day!

So Much Pretty at the 2016 WedLuxe Wedding Show

So much pretty!

I had the chance to attend this year’s 2016 WedLuxe wedding show media preview and of course, I’d never pass up a chance to be surrounded by millions of flowers, pretty dresses, delicious food and beautiful jewelry. It’s such an extravagant display every year and it seems like each year they outdo themselves from the year prior. This year in particular, was my favourite. When you see the pictures below you’ll see why. This bridal show isn’t just a bunch of vendors in a convention centre. It’s an experience. Each booth really takes the time to create beautiful, elaborate displays that are built to WOW! If you ever have the chance to go, you must. Check out my pictures below and enjoy all of the beauty!

Under the Tuscan Sun was the theme and they definitely nailed the entrance!

Happy New Year!

It’s the start of a brand new year and I love a fresh start. A chance to reflect, set new goals and make new priorities for the year ahead. For me, it always starts with a commitment to try and lead a healthier lifestyle. To make it to the gym on a regular basis, eat more vegetables and lay off the junk food. Easier said than done. When life gets busy and stressful and I get tired, the gym is normally the first thing to fall by the wayside. My goal is to try not to let that happen. I always feel so much better when I’m able to exercise on a regular basis. This year, I also want to travel more, spend more time with good friends and practice some of the skills I’ve been trying to master (photography, graphic design, flower arranging etc etc etc.). The list goes on.

Alot of my time in 2015 was spent working at a career that I love, working on Pink the Town which I adore and spending alot of quality time with my family, boyfriend and friends. I made it a point this year to spend as much time as possible with my loved ones and I wouldn’t change that for the world. I was blessed with a new nephew this year. I also spent alot of precious time with my 3-year-old niece. There were so many moments this year that I wish I could freeze forever in time.

I hope 2015 was good to you and I hope 2016 is even better!

Take a look below at my New Years Eve decor. I had so much fun putting it together. Any day that includes champagne is a good day!

Cheers!

Gift Guide For Him

If you are anything like me, you have about half of your shopping done and there’s only a week left until Christmas! I always find the girls on my list the easiest to shop for, which is why I created this early shopping guide for women.  The men in my life normally get left until the last minute because I find guys a little harder to shop for. Anyone else have this issue? In case you do, I’ve put together this last minute gift guide for him below. Hopefully if you are in a jam this guide will spark some ideas for you. Happy shopping and happy holidays!
