It probably comes as no surprise that Valentine’s Day is my favourite time of the year. Pink items line the shelves in every store and companies introduce limited edition pink items. Not only does February mean Valentine’s Day, but it’s also my birthday month! Basically, I love everything about February (minus the weather).

Today, I’m highlighting some of my Valentine’s Day must haves for 2015. Items that are perfect for date night or a girls night out. It’s time to amp up the romance factor, bat those lashes and enjoy the month of love!

New Year Beauty Resolutions Contest

OPI 50 Shades of Grey Collection

I’ll be honest. I never made it through the 50 Shades of Grey book. Not exactly my cup of tea. However, that won’t stop me from seeing the movie and it definitely won’t stop me from enjoying the new OPI 50 Shades of Grey collection. I’m a big fan of grey polish and this lineup features 5 new grey polishes. I also love the addition of the blood red. I have two favourites from the lineup. The sparkly grey with flecks of blue and the light grey. Which one is your fav?

Philips PureRadiance 30-Day Challenge Review

It’s been 30 days since I started the Philips PureRadiance 30-Day Challenge and I’m excited to share the results! I’ve been wanting to try out a Sonic Cleansing System for a while now. As a girl who LOVES to wear makeup, I know the importance of a good face washing ritual and I knew this would up the ante on my regular routine.

The new Philips PureRadiance Facial Cleansing System comes in this adorable blush colour and features 2 speeds. It’s said to be 10 times more effective than hand-cleansing at removing makeup and removes more dead skin cells than manual cleansing.  The sophisticated system has a skin zone timer that alerts you every 20 seconds when it’s time to rotate to the three key areas of your face. It comes with a stand for charging and allows for up to 30 uses with one charge. There are three brush heads available (normal, sensitive and exfoliating) depending on your preference and skin type.

When it comes to testing out new products, I’m more inclined to continue using something if I see results right away (I’m impatient like that). And I can safely say that I noticed a difference after my first time using the Philips PureRadiance Cleansing System. My skin felt smoother after the first use. You really do feel like your skin has been buffed and deep cleaned in a way that regular hand cleaning just can’t deliver. I also have really dry skin (especially in the winter) and normally at this time of year I’m battling through dry patches on my nose and forehead on a daily basis. This month, I’ve noticed that I don’t have any dry patches.  The brush sloughs off dead skin cells and also helps serum and cream absorb better.

Overall, the results have lead to smoother, more moisturized skin. I also like the feeling of buffing out lines and wrinkles.  I’m now more motivated to take more time washing my face since I can feel and see the results. I’ll definitely continue to use the Philips PureRadiance Cleansing System and I’m excited to try it out with different kinds of cleansers and exfoliators.
