In a world that is all too often busy and stressful, sometimes it’s nice to take joy in the little things that make you happy. The things that put a smile on your face and make your day a little brighter. Today, we’re sharing some of our favourite indulgences and guilty pleasures.
The items we turn to when we have a little extra cash or when our mood needs a little lift. Because sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself to something pretty or something that smells good or something that tastes delicious. Life is short, and therefore we are firm believers in buying the flowers, using the fancy dishes every day and spraying your favourite perfume as often as you want.
Fresh Flowers – Definitely our favourite thing to indulge in on a regular basis. There’s nothing quite like the small of fresh flowers filling up your home and workspace.
A Sequin Clutch – This pink, sparkly BCBG clutch was an impulse buy and now we love finding excuses to wear it.
Cute Shoes – Every girl needs that one pair of shoes that can instantly make any outfit. These babies from Nine West do the trick every time.
Pink Lipstick – We love to brighten our look and our mood with a little pink lipstick. Lancôme Baume In Love looks hot pink but goes on with a subtle pink glow.
Something Gold – This Ban.do gold heart from Bicyclette Boutique is just too cute and multi-tasks as a hair clip, shoe clip, broach, or decor item.
Pretty Desk Essentials – We spend so much time at our desks we might as well surround ourselves with the things we love. These Kate Spade gold bow push pins from Chapters Indigo quickly became one of our favourite office essentials.
Luxurious Perfume – Scent is a powerful thing and indulging in our favourite fragrance makes us instantly happy. We love La Petite Robe Noire from Guerlain and the bottle looks pretty on a vanity.
Chocolate – Chocolate at this point has become a bit of a day-to-day life essential. We try to stick with dark chocolate if we can and these dark chocolate truffles from Godiva are heaven.
Fancy Dishes – Life is short. Use the fancy dishes!
Something Sparkly – Whether you’re a fan of earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets or all of the above, wearing a little something sparkly makes every outfit feel special. We love this necklace from Club Monaco.
A Glass of Wine – We know we’re not alone when it comes to a love of wine after a long week. Dreaming Tree Chardonnay is a great choice for summer.
