If you consider yourself a foodie, or maybe it’s always been your goal to take a cooking class, or if you happen to be a big fan of farmers markets (and who isn’t?) then you must check out the details from our recent culinary adventure. . Le Dolci Cupcakes and Cakes in Toronto (known for their great variety of classes) has just introduced some new experiences designed for food enthusiasts. The first is a Farmers Market Cooking Class and the second is Foodie Trips. We recently tested out the Farmers Market Cooking Class, which begins with a trip to the local Farmers Market at Trinity Bellwoods park to learn how to shop for local, organic ingredients for a three course meal. Then, it’s back to Le Dolci where Chef Christophe doles out tasks to help everyone work together to create an incredible meal. We learned some new tricks in the kitchen and left with some new (easy to make) menu ideas to add to our dinner rotation. We all get stuck in the dinner rut, which is sometimes hard to break out of. This is a great way to get some new dinner ideas. It’s also a great way to spend a nice, summer evening and also makes for a perfect date night or girls night out. Our menu included organic bread paired with sheep cheese, blinis topped with smoked trout, sheep cheese, mushrooms and chives. A salad with arugula, baby kale, radishes and lemon and olive oil dressing. The main course featured pork chops with homemade marinade and green goddess sauce, as well as fiddle heads with rapini and asparagus. For dessert, almond streusel, with poached rhubarb and rosewater with Italian meringue. Check out sign-up details HERE. You can also check out details on Foodie Trips HERE – a new Canadian travel company offering culinary adventures abroad. Think exploring Paris or Italy with your best friends while sipping wine and enjoying hands-on culinary classes with classically-trained French chefs, making macarons, croissants, and baguettes. Yes, please! Check out pictures from our cooking adventure below. And if you aren’t located in the Toronto area, we hope this inspires you to seek out your own culinary adventure.
